The rain held off, and a new improved layout made excellent use of the woods – 4 stands there made it like shooting at a new ground – one of the best layouts we’ve seen at the club for quite a while.

It was a potentially hight scoring course too, but inevitably the odd stand was there to catch out anyone not concentrating 100%  Lee Pitman, Steve Lamacq shot together and pushed each other all the way round, with Lee taking it on the last stand – by 1, for an excellent 85, Steve 84 joint 2nd with Ben Morris,Simon Hastain & Danny Saunders were snapping at the podium’s heels, with 83 and 82 respectively.

Steve’s score won him the Handicap prize with 84 (+23)  107, joined in the top spot by Jennie Cartwright  74 (+33) 107 with Danny 3rd 82 (+24) 106 –  A great way to open their account in this first shoot of the Autumn Sporting Series.
