On the sporting layout, the day proved a challenge for many, with high gun going to Mark Coburn on 81, with Lee Pitman, two behind on 79, and John Slade shooting well to record a score of 78. The scores in the handicap competition reflected the difficulty of the layout, however Simon Ingram found it to his liking with a (75+29) 104, with 2nd place shared by John Slade (78+11) 100, Danny Saunders (77+23) 100, and Matt Slade (65+35) 100. Of the recorded scores 10 made the handicap ‘par’ of 95, and 13 fell below it.
