23rd November – Wet but not wild

Although it mostly rained today, the course was great, the modifications over the summer to the woods have help drainage meaning that although damp underfoot it’s still fine to use.  A word of thanks to the Set Uppers and Put Awayers today, it’s not an easy job even in the nicest of weathers, but today they were a little understaffed. If any one would like to volunteer to assist please do ask, Maria can help direct you to the right person to talk to about helping out.

Today’s Island Games UT selection shoot was won by Ady Williams (92) Full Scores:

Ady Williams 92
Ben Slade 82
Lee Pitman 79
Steve Donson 75
John Slade 73
Kath Bright 69

A low turn out for the Sporting was perhaps to be expected with the weather, but those that did shoot found some great targets,  including an ‘amazing’ dropper,  you didn’t see it go up,  it just came down!   and a lovely fast L – R crosser in the new pit of doom, on the back of the Skeet Layout, a few were mystified, and didn’t find it,  others managed it from the hip…

Full Scores for Winter 1,  High Gun Mark Coburn (83)  With Handicap honours shared between Ken Rozier and Robbie Baker.
