Warm weather & sunny skies ( we are getting used to this ! ) and light winds greeted the shooters this Sunday for the penultimate Spring Series shoot. A fairly testing (though not too testing with 25 out of 36 handicap scores making 95 – ‘par’ or better) and varied course with some close, fast …

SHOOTERS from around the Island gathered at Sainham, Godshill, last weekend, for the IW Gun Club’s annual single-barrel championship. Around 15 shooters took part in the contest, with vice-chairman Roger Wilson confirming numbers were up. “We had a few more entries after people read about Kath Bright’s success in the Down the Line Championship …

A total contrast to the last shoot, the weather was glorious at the club this sunday, for some more good targets, and an altered layout, the pit of doom seemed to play it’s usual part, and the new stand just by the Trap fence provided a great incoming target that tested many. The next shoot …

A very different layout today which is reflected in the scores, utilising the new traps on stand one, and for the first time in living memory no driven/crosser combo! The Pit of Doom keeps it’s name for many, at the far end of the ground. Here are today’s results, Series results tables are listed below …
