17th Jan Scores

Not sure if everyone felt the same, but for our squad it was a layout of two halves,  five or six stands of fairly straight forward targets, including a fairly straight forward teal pair,  and then four or five really tough stands, anyone else struggle on the pair at the far end of the ground flying above the tree line?  Card destroying stands in some cases!  This was reflected in the scores today, with only the top 14 breaking the ‘handicap par ’95’.

Lee Pitman put together a fine round to take the high gun 86 , followed by James Askew and Mark Downer 84.  In the handicap classification, Colin Lazell had an extraordinary day shooting 60  + 48 to take first place with 108, followed by Chris Beesley 68 +36, 104, and Darren Wray 74+28, 102 was third.

Luckily the weather held for us, and we didn’t suffer the snow that’s been a feature of some of today’s fixtures up and down the country.
