2018 Charity Shoot

Every year, the club hosts a charity shoot.  We select the charity in the first few months of the year from member’s suggestions. The criteria being the charity must be Island based, or the funds raised must be benefit the Island, we like to choose charities that will be most impacted by the £800+ that we expect to raise – this year’s Charity is the Wessex Cancer Trust and their Daisy Bus project, you can read more about it here, and DONATE if you can.

We raised over £1000 this year

breaking our previous best by well over 15%  this amount takes us to well over £10,000 in donations since we started the charity shoot.  Thanks to all that helped raise the money, by entering the shoot, the raffle, the auction, the pool shoot and the have a go stand.  It’s a terrific amount, and will help the bus stay in operation  a good deal longer.

A special thanks to those who donated items for the raffle – WBS (Wight Business Services), Jewsons and Brewers.  To Heidi Wray, Mark Coburn, Dave Morris and Jenny Batchelor, and to Charles Darbyshire for donating the Musto items for the auction.

Mark Downer was the day’s High Gun with 94, with Lee Pitman just behind him on 93.
Mark Downer won the prize pot for the Pool Shoot, with Mark Coburn, John Slade & Stuart Goody tying for second place behind him.   Mark generously donated his winnings into the charity pot.
Great to see some familiar faces who we haven’t seen for a while, and some returning faces who support this event every year.
