23rd September 18 Scores

The forecast that never really materialised, that was the order of the day.  Setting up for 50mph winds, we decided not to use the copse, but the wind didn’t blow so hard ( during outr shooting window at least ) and the rain all but stopped by 11am, giving way to blue skies and slightly warmer temperatures.   The turnout was quite low, understandable given the forecast, but those that shot, enjoyed nice conditions, and a special 7 stand layout, 100 bird shoot that tested the concentration, as much as technical skills.

Mark Coburn found the conditions and the layout to his liking, shooting a great 92, followed by Mark Whillier 88, and Rob Butcher 81

In the handicap completion, Len Bancroft continued his good run of form to hit 60+49, 109, tied with Dennis Fisher 45+64, 109.   3rd place was Mark Coburn 92+16,108.  These three were well clear of the field, with the next 3 positions all tied on 100.

The next shoot is October 7th (Sunday)  which will be followed on MONDAY 8th OCTOBER  by the club AGM, which will start at 19:30hrs at the club house,  all welcome, and all encouraged to attend.

The Single Barrel Championship was held on the trap layout today, with Mel Critchley coming out on top.
