Lovely day at the ground today, with the Sporting shooters treated to a 5 stand 50 bird compak sporting as half of the scores for the 100 bird competition. It certainly added to the complexity of the round, and ultimately lead to some reduced scores. Making handicap (95) today was tough going, yet 5 competitors did so.
High Gun sporting was Mark Whillier 79, with Mick Gregson 73 following in 2nd place, and Simon Hastain completing the leading trio with 71.
In the Handicap Competition, Dave Greenham had done enough with 67 (+33) 100 to take the top spot, with 2nd placed Rob Baker shooting 54 (+43) 98, just two behind. 3rd was Mark Whillier showing just how good that High Gun scores was.
