Coaching and Lessons

Coaches & Lessons

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer clay shooting coaching, lessons or any kind of corporate or stag or hen parties.

We welcome new members who have had a number of lessons at a recognised shooting school,  that have covered gun safety and are able to hit simple targets.   Ad-hoc assistance with a particular target can be requested,  and this kind of coaching can be provided in an informal way.

Clay Shooting
Clay Target shooting is the art of shooting at special flying targets, historically know as clay pigeons  with a shotgun. The terminology commonly used by clay shooters often relates to times past, when live pigeon competitions were held. Although such competitions were made illegal in 1921, a target is still called a ‘target’, a hit is referred to as a ‘hit’ and the machine which projects the targets is known as a ‘trap’.Trial Lesson
